The DM986 – 204 ONU is a solution for optical access with EPON or GPON technology, offering high speed and great cost benefit for broadband applications and Triple Play services (voice, video and data). These technologies allows the sharing of optical fiber among customers, reducing cost and maximizing the use of bandwidth and installed fibers.
The DM986 – 204 ONU offers a high-speed fiber optic access solution supporting two (02) Gigabit Ethernet LAN interfaces and also supports 2,4GHz and 5,8Ghz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/ac) with two external antennas, ensuring excellent performance and wide coverage in the wireless network of residential customers. In conjunction with DATACOM OLTs (DM4610, DM4611, DM4612,DM4615 and DM4618), it offers a competitive, high-performance solution for FTTH networks.
The ONU has an advanced Wi-Fi interface to support applications that require high data traffic. Four external high-gain antennas (two for 2,4GHz and two for 5,8GHz) mounted on two poles provide superior coverage, which together with 2x2 MIMO and 5,8GHz Beamforming create a fast and stable Wi-Fi connection.
Supports mesh functionality through the Easymesh standard, expanding network coverage. In this solution, the DM986-204 ONU operates in controller mode, managing links between mesh routers that connect and distribute the signal forming a single network, providing a quality signal in places with low signal quality.
The DM986-204 ONU supports Preset settings, which allows the customization of factory settings, so that when the customer performs a reset on the equipment, it returns to the default defined in the preset and not to the manufacturer's default settings.
The DM986 – 204 ONU also has a remote management resource through the TR-069 protocol. With this feature, the ISP can manage all devices installed on its subscribers through the cloud. The management by TR-069 allows the ISP to carry out diagnostics and tests remotely, reducing operational costs.
