The DM4170 Ethernet Switches family comprises two models of Gigabit Ethernet switches based on Datacom’s modular network operating system DmOS. One of the models 12x10GE uplinks, the other contains 4x10GE and 2x40GE uplinks and both have additional 24x1GE optical interfaces. With a complete L2/L3 feature set and MPLS support, the switches are the perfect fit for several applications of GE and 10GE access and aggregation on metro ethernet and enterprise networks.
The switches are 1U height and they are ready for standard 19" rack installation. Both models have two slots for redundant, hot swappable, full-range AC/DC power supply units, ensuring high availability services and operation.
