DM1305E. LAN Switches.
DM1305E
LAN Switches

Datacom's DM1305E range of switches is a stackable Gigabit Ethernet wire speed solution, with L2 and L3 functionalities, to meet the growing demand for bandwidth in corporate network applications. The models have 24 or 48 electrical ports with 1/10GE optical uplink interfaces. Made up of different fixed-configuration models for installation in a 19" rack, they enable the creation of low-cost networks with high traffic capacity.

Characteristics

Wire Speed L2

The switches have switching capacity ranging from 128Gbit/s to 176Gbit/s with all packet processing implemented in hardware, at wire-speed, ensuring the switching of all packets without blocking traffic. Filter functionalities are also performed in hardware, with no impact on CPU performance or packet forwarding.

Management Facilities

The switches in the line have a CLI configuration interface with automatic syntax assistance, accessible via SSH, Telnet and RS-232 Console. Internal Web Server and SNMP agent are also available. To facilitate firmware version and configuration management, it is possible to store two different firmware versions and two different configurations simultaneously in the equipment's memory.

Security

To ensure network security, switches allow the creation of a reliable management structure through authentication via RADIUS. It also supports protection against Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks and port and MAC Address authentication in accordance with IEEE802.1x. It has protection mechanisms against broadcast and multicast attacks.

Switching Features

The DM1305E switches support a series of advanced features, such as simultaneous VLAN configuration, Link Aggregation and Spanning Tree network redundancy and protection protocol (STP, MSTP and RSTP), EAPS and ERPS. For Multicast, IGMP Snooping, MLD Snooping and PIM-DM/SM/SSM functionalities are supported.

For network optimization, the switches have 8 CoS queues per port with traffic classification by IEEE802.1p and multiple matches using ACLs, allowing bandwidth limitation and traffic shaping.

Routing

Static and dynamic IPv4 and IPv6 routing features are available, allowing the switch to be used as a switch router. Dynamic routing protocols such as RIPv1/v2/ng, OSPFv2/v3, BGP4+ are supported, as well as resilience tools such as ECMP, VRRP and BFD. It also allows the creation of up to 251 VRFs.

1000 IPv4 routes and 256 IPv6 routes are supported in the routing table, making it possible to use it in applications to migrate networks from IPv4 to IPv6 in Dual Stack format.

ACLs

DM1305 has the facility to create up to 1000 filters (ACLs) that operate in hardware, allowing the configuration of various actions, such as: discarding packets, rescheduling QoS priorities, among others.

Stacking

To increase capacity, the DM1305 switches can be stacked into up to 9 units via the uplink ports. The stack is seen by the management interfaces as a single switch and is managed by a single IP.
