GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) is a solution for optical access, offering high speed and great cost benefit for broadband applications and Triple Play services (voice, video and data). This technology allows the sharing of optical fiber among customers, reducing the cost and maximizing the use of band and installed fibers.
ONU DM986 offers a high speed fiber optic access solution. It allows data, voice and video over IP services to be offered to residential users. Ethernet data is transported transparently over the GPON link and delivered to an optical line termination unit (OLT, Optical Line Termination), such as the DM4610 OLT (4-GPON and 8-GPON) and the DM4615 OLT (16- GPON). The DM986 is compatible with the ITU-T G.984 and ITU-T G.988 standards, has a Gigabit Ethernet LAN interface and a voice interface (FXS).
ONU DM986-110 also features remote management via the TR-069 protocol. With this feature, the ISP can manage all the routers installed on its subscribers via the cloud. Management via TR-069 enables the ISP to carry out remote diagnostics and tests, reducing operating costs.
