In this article we will present two important partners of Datacom, a headquartered in the north and another in the south of the country, which are already harvesting fruits with the use of DM4770.

Coelho Tecnologia

Headquarters in the State of Pará, the Coelho Tecnologia is a telecommunications company focused on projects and deployment of physical and logical networks of various sizes. In addition to having a vast line services, this ISP offers tailor-made connectivity solutions for residential and corporate users for more than 8 years.

To meet the northern region of Brazil, for example, the Coelho Tecnologia (in conjunction with two more companies) built an optical transport network over DWDM technology. A first-class photonical network that allows excellence in cities around the surroundings.

Upon this backnone, among the recently implemented links in the Coelho Tecnologia network is the connection between Araguaina cities in Tocantins, Parauapebas in Pará and Imperatriz in Maranhão. It is precisely in this ring that the DM4770 16cx, one for each station was used.

To construct this ring the optical link passes through 11 cities of the region by jumping approximately 100km between each of them. Notice the figure below that most jumps is to make the connection between the city of Araguaína - TO and Parauapebas - PA, whose stretch goes through 6 cities in Pará, reaching 690km away.

According to Luiz Coelho, company technician director, in addition to trust by using Datacom products for many years, the choice for our switches for this topology was also due to the versatility of application of it. Inserting 3x DM4770 16cx with QSFP-DD (Coherent) modules in this service, the Coelho Tecnologia optimized the network, because with a single product in each station, she was able to implement a protected ring logically ERPs, as well as implemented the optical transport part without Need to use DWDM transponders, since the COHERENT modules are tamable.

In addition, Luiz's satisfaction also came by perceiving the stability of the product. Ampernet

Another Datacom partner who is using the DM4770 solution for long-distance links is Ampernet. With more than 20 years of history and founded in the municipality of Ampére - PR, ISP has been responsible for bringing connectivity, internet and telephony to thousands of homes and companies in the southern region of the country.

According to Osvaldo Bertuol Junnior, Telecom Project Manager, Ampernet uses Datacom products for more than 8 years when they had to search for a 10GE MPLS solution.

Recently they encountered the need to make a 100GE link and opted for Datacom. The solution adopted by the company with the DM4770 is represented in the image below. Basically it is a point-to-point link of approximately 400km between two switches, on top of an existing DWDM network.

Like the previous scenario, this link was also created using QSFP-DD tamible optical modules, without the need for the use of transponders to connect to the Ampernet DWDM network. Ampernet uses this connection to transport vlans from n services provided by ISP in the region.

Considerations

In addition to the satisfaction with the ease of relationship, including service from the operations and mainly technical support, both companies also point to the robustness of equipment as reasons to choose Datacom.
