On June 22, 23 and 24, 2022, the IPC-A-610 - Criteria and Acceptability of Electronic Assembly training was held at Datacom in Eldorado do Sul, given by TECHTRON (an internationally accredited company for certification of IPC standards).
The IPC-A-610 standard is the most widely used inspection standard in the electronics industries, and has comprehensive criteria for high reliability printed circuit board assembly operating worldwide with the aim of promoting competitive best practices for the industry. Criteria and standards are defined for each stage, starting with the design, going through the prototype part and reaching the final assembly of the product, always aiming at a better performance in the production process and reliability in the final product. The IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries) is an association that manages and governs numerous standards, with international scope and action, being recognized by all major electronic industries and its application in the productive environment reduces the chances of errors in manufacturing, as it establishes standards that must be respected and that bring an adequate quality to guarantee the functionality of the equipment.
In the present training, two employees represented Datacom performing the official and international IPC test, which guarantees the certification, valid for two years. Another nine employees took the national certification test.
As of now, Datacom is internationally recognized as a holder of CIS (Certified IPC Specialist) professionals. In Brazil, only approximately 37 companies and less than 200 professionals are qualified in the IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies standard. Our employees become an internal reference for questions and interpretations of the Electronic Assembly Acceptability Criteria, as well as multipliers of the best manufacturing practices recommended by IPC. Datacom once again jumps ahead bringing more qualification to its professionals, standardizing its acceptability criteria, adopting international standards and recommended by the most respected association of electronic assembly, the Association Connecting Electronics Industries IPC.
