Cloud Management Datacom: LAN, Wi-Fi and security with centralized cloud management

Corporate networks are becoming more distributed and dynamic. Offices, branches, field offices, and data centers require consistent policies, visibility, and simple updates. Datacom's Cloud Management line was designed for this scenario: a single cloud control plane (DmCloud) to deploy, operate, and update switches, access points, and security gateways, reducing travel and standardizing operations.

Management Platform: DmCloud

DmCloud centralizes the equipment lifecycle—adoption, configuration, policies, firmware, and monitoring. Zero-touch provisioning, site/profile templates, and continuous telemetry help maintain distributed environments with greater predictability. For scheduled changes, updates can be applied during maintenance windows, preserving the audit trail and segregating access by role.

Cloud Management Line Releases

Cloud Managed L3 Switch — DM1205C 24GP+4XS

Access/distribution switch with 24 Gigabit PoE/PoE+ ports and 4 10Gb (SFP+) uplinks, managed by DmCloud. It combines PoE to power APs and edge devices, high-capacity uplinks to avoid bottlenecks, and L3 capabilities for segmentation and campus networks.

Next-Generation Gateway — DM-AP GT110

Unified security gateway for branches and offices, managed by DmCloud. It offers 8 GE ports (up to 2 WAN and 7 LAN), support for up to 7 PoE/PoE+ ports, high-performance NAT, WAN link balancing, and an IPsec VPN with web visualization and authentication. It comes with a rack-mount kit and is recommended for environments with up to ~300 concurrent users.

Outdoor Wi-Fi 6 Access Point — DM-AP 920

Enterprise outdoor AP for open areas and challenging environments. With Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), OFDMA/MU-MIMO, and 802.11k/v/r roaming, it maintains a stable experience at high density. It supports PoE-in and offers uplink options (copper/fiber), with cloud adoption via DmCloud or standalone mode when needed.

Indoor Wi-Fi 6 Access Points — DM-AP 610 and DM-AP 620

In addition to the outdoor model, the Cloud Management line also includes indoor access points for offices, meeting rooms, and high-density environments. The DM-AP 610 is ideal for medium-size deployments, with throughput up to AX1800, while the DM-AP 620 supports more demanding scenarios, delivering up to AX3000 and featuring a multi-gig (2.5G) uplink to prevent bottlenecks. Both models support multiple SSIDs, VLAN-based policies, and full integration with DmCloud, ensuring consistent operation and seamless roaming across indoor environments.

Applications

  • Offices and campuses: VLAN segmentation and SSIDs per profile; cloud-controlled changes.
  • Education and healthcare: High density with stable roaming and a guest portal.
  • Industry and logistics: Outdoor coverage with the DM-AP 920 in yards and warehouses.
  • Technical rooms and data centers: High-capacity uplinks and unified monitoring from the edge to the core.
  • Distributed branches: Single Wi-Fi, LAN, and security policy enforced by profiles, with centralized telemetry.

Advantages for the IT team

More than just bringing together equipment, the goal is to reduce operational friction. DmCloud helps maintain consistent standards across units, from Wi-Fi to the access layer and security edge. PoE/PoE+ on the switches and gateway simplifies the infrastructure and reduces single points of failure, while 10Gb uplinks ensure room for expansion. With inventory, real-time metrics, and a change trail, the team can clearly monitor the network without having to multiply tools. And, when necessary, technical support in Portuguese accelerates resolution, keeping operations predictable.

Conclusion

Datacom's Cloud Management line combines cloud management, PoE+ switches, Wi-Fi 6 access points, and a security gateway to deliver a stable corporate network with straightforward deployment and simplified maintenance routines—from indoors to outdoors, from the office to the campus.
