Knowledge in one place.
Datacom has just earned the Certificate of Compliance in Cybersecurity Policies, issued by a Designated Certification Body (OCD) authorized by Anatel.
Datacom completed its audit and certification process in November, acting proactively before the regulatory framework. Now, in December 2025, with the rule in effect, the company assures the market — operators, ISPs, and the entire telecom ecosystem — that its products and processes comply with Anatel's cybersecurity policies, reinforcing its historical commitment to compliance and the protection of Brazilian networks.
Why is this certification so important for the sector?
Act No. 16,417, of November 22, 2024, establishes that any manufacturer or supplier of equipment used in telecommunications networks must prove, through an independent audit, its compliance with cybersecurity policies.
Anatel's objective is to create a mandatory standard for the entire market, strengthening:
In practice, this means that operators and providers will only be able to purchase equipment from properly certified companies — making certification a central requirement for continuity of supply.
How Datacom Prepared
The process involved an in-depth audit conducted by an Anatel-accredited Certification Body (OCD), evaluating internal policies, controls, evidence, and consolidated practices in the product development cycle.
Datacom mobilized a specialized R&D and Quality team, which worked in an integrated manner to review internal policies, consolidate evidence, and prepare all the documentation required by the audit process. This work ensured the adequacy of processes, the organization of technical information, and the compliance of each stage with the criteria established by the certifying body.
Among the materials reviewed and presented, the following stand out:
