The DM987 - SFP is a ONU XGS-PON (Ten Gigabit Symmetrical Passive Optical Network) in SFP format, being an excellent solution for optical access that offers speed of up to 10Gbps symmetrical, a great cost-benefit ratio for broadband applications and Triple Play services (voice, video and data). This technology allows the sharing of optical fiber among customers, reducing costs and maximizing the use of bandwidth and installed fibers, in addition to coexisting perfectly with EPON and GPON technologies in the same PON branch (through WDM1r).

This ONU is a pluggable model, which operates in bridge mode. Allows its use in network equipment that has SFP interfaces.

The ONU DM987-SFP complies with ITU-T G.987.2 standards for high-speed optical fiber access applications. Ethernet data is transported transparently over the XGS-PON link and delivered to a line termination unit (OLT, Optical Line Termination).
