New for your Datacenter: discover the DM-SV04 server and the DM1902 chassis from Datacom

The digital infrastructure scenario in Brazil is experiencing a strategic moment. The growing demand for edge computing environments, virtualization and reduction of operational costs is driving the adoption of solutions that deliver high performance, scalability and energy efficiency. It is in this context that Datacom presents the latest highlights of its server line:

the DM-SV04, aimed at intensive workloads in compact spaces, and the DM1902 chassis, which together form an ideal solution for modular architectures, scalable data centers and distributed environments that require high density and simplified operation.

Both products bring the principles of the Open Compute Project (OCP) to the market, allowing providers, operators and modern corporations to set up their own data centers with greater control, autonomy and performance.

DM-SV04 - Performance in an Optimized Format

The DM-SV04 is designed to deliver maximum performance in an optimized format, meeting the demands of modern data centers and distributed environments. With support for up to 64 processing cores, 1TB of DDR4 memory and an architecture that prioritizes thermal efficiency, modularity and space savings, it stands out as a robust and versatile solution.

Its onboard storage capacity is impressive: up to 14 hot-swap NVMe E3.S drives or 7 U.2 drives, all in a chassis measuring just 89 mm in height. High-performance connectivity is also a differentiator, with up to two OCP 3.0 slots that allow connections of up to 2x 100Gbps or 8x 25Gbps, in addition to support for SAS HBA cards for integration with external JBOD systems — expanding the solution's flexibility.

This profile makes the DM-SV04 the ideal choice for:

  • Server virtualization (KVM, Proxmox, VMware)
  • Hyperconverged environments
  • Modular and edge datacenters
  • High-performance local storage solutions
  • Private cloud platforms and containerized applications

DM1902 - Simplicity in the rack

Designed for standard 19” racks, the DM1902 chassis accommodates up to two DM-SV line servers (DM-SV01 or DM-SV04) in just 2.5U, optimizing vertical rack usage with redundant 1300W AC or DC power supplies.

The OCP concept also stands out in this regard:

  • All installation and maintenance is carried out from the front, concentrating operations in the cold aisle of the data center
  • Centralized sources supply the servers via an internal 12V bus, operating in parallel mode and with automatic load sharing
  • The sources are hot swappable and scalable as the infrastructure grows
  • Significant reduction in cabling and installation complexity

A line of servers in constant evolution

Datacom has been expanding its presence in the datacenter universe with a portfolio of high-performance servers, developed based on efficiency, scalability and operational autonomy. We started with the DM-SV01 model, aimed at robust workloads with up to two AMD EPYC™ processors, installed in the DM1904 chassis, capable of housing up to four servers in 4.5U with redundant AC or DC sources.

Given the interest of providers and corporations in their own data centers and hyperconverged solutions, we are reinforcing our commitment to evolving the line by bringing the DM-SV04 and the DM1902 chassis to market. This evolution is not just technological — it is conceptual. The DM-SV line was designed based on the principles of the Open Compute Project (OCP), an initiative launched by Facebook in 2011 with the goal of rethinking the way data centers are built. OCP brought the spirit of open innovation to hardware, with a focus on modularity, energy savings, simplified maintenance, and interoperability.

In practice, this means:

  • Dramatic reduction in energy and thermal consumption with optimized components;
  • Decoupling between computing and storage, allowing modular updates;
  • Freedom of choice of components, with simple validation and without dependence on single suppliers;
  • Ease of maintenance with front-end access and sources shared between servers.

The result? More efficient, flexible and cost-effective data centers — ideal for an increasingly demanding and dynamic market.

Performance in the Field

Several Datacom customers have been reaping the benefits of adopting our server solution. ClickIP, from Manaus, for example, implemented a datacenter with three DM-SV01 clusters running Proxmox and Ceph, in addition to a cluster with VMware. The infrastructure combines NVMe disks and HDDs in a hybrid and scalable architecture, taking full advantage of the performance of AMD EPYC™ processors with high operational reliability.

TSMX, in São Paulo, chose Datacom servers to host its corporate cloud platform, focusing on computational density and integration with storage systems via external JBODs, extracting the best from the flexibility of the OCP architecture.

We also have the case of Easynet, which adopted our solution to expand its IT environment with thermal efficiency and performance gains, standing out for its energy savings and ease of front-end maintenance. These and other partners have demonstrated in practice the benefits of a national, high-performance solution with close technical support, which accompanies the evolution of the country's digital infrastructure.
