Southern Phase of the EACE Project: School Connectivity Representatives Visit Datacom Headquarters

Continuing the partnership established through the Aprender Conectado program, Datacom welcomed representatives from EACE (School Connectivity Management Entity), responsible for implementing the project nationwide, to its headquarters in Eldorado do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, on July 10th.

Flávio Santos (EACE General Director), Matheus Belin, and Rodrigo Ribeiro were present for the visit and came to closely monitor Datacom's operations as the provider responsible for deploying Wi-Fi networks in schools in the Southern region.

The agenda included:

  • A visit to the manufacturing plant and R&D laboratories;
  • Technical demonstrations of equipment already in operation in schools;
  • Alignments on deadlines, operations, and technical support for the current phase.

Commitment to Connected Education

In Phase 4 of the project, Datacom is responsible for the connectivity of 1,168 public schools in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná, operating with a complete solution that includes:

  • DM2500 routers, which measure connection performance via SIMET/NIC.br;
  • DM-GT 110 gateways for local control and routing;
  • DM-AP 610 and DM-AP 920 corporate access points, with high-performance Wi-Fi 6;
  • Complete infrastructure, including structured cabling, racks, UPS, and 24-month operation.

The first schools in this phase are expected to begin operating in July, with completion scheduled for November 2025.

Visit Strengthens Partnership

Welcoming EACE to our headquarters was a valuable opportunity to reinforce our mutual commitment to the quality of educational connectivity and the efficiency of local implementation, especially as Rio Grande do Sul faces the challenge of rebuilding after the floods.

Datacom remains committed to contributing to a robust, reliable, and Brazilian-made national connectivity infrastructure, promoting digital inclusion and supporting the transformation of public education.
