The Datacom DM-S100 switch line is a cloud-managed (DmCloud) Gigabit Ethernet wire-speed solution with L2 features, designed to meet the growing bandwidth demand of corporate network applications. It is available in PoE/PoE+ models and includes Gigabit Ethernet optical uplink interfaces. Its compact chassis, enables the creation of low-cost networks with high traffic capacity.
Wire Speed
The switches feature a switching capacity of 20Gbit/s, with all packet processing implemented in hardware at wire-speed. This ensures non-blocking switching of all packets. Filtering functionalities are also executed in hardware, without impacting CPU performance or packet forwarding.
Management Facilities
The switches can be configured via the DmCloud cloud management platform. A CLI configuration interface with syntax assistance is available, accessible through SSH, Telnet, and RS-232 Console. An internal Web Server and SNMP agent are also available.

Security
To ensure network security, the switches support protection against Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, port security and ACLs.
Switching Features
The DM-S100 switches support a series of advanced features, such as simultaneous VLAN configuration, Link Aggregation and Spanning Tree network redundancy and protection protocol (STP, MSTP and RSTP). For Multicast, IGMP Snooping is supported.
For network optimization, the switches have 8 CoS queues per port with traffic classification by IEEE802.1p and multiple matches using ACLs, allowing bandwidth limitation and traffic shaping.
Power over Ethernet
The DM-S100 8GP2GX complies with the IEEE 802.3af/802.3at standard and provides 8 PoE/PoE+ ports, with a maximum instantaneous power consumption of 125W. This enables simultaneous data and power transmission over a single Cat.5e or Cat.6 cable. This setup is ideal for powering and connecting devices such as Access Points, IP phones, and IP cameras.
Applications
Typical applications for DM-S100 devices are corporate local area networks, where the connectivity of user computers is Gigabit Ethernet (GBE), with 1G Ethernet optical uplinks.
